Now we’re finally moving on with the Friday the 13th franchise. We’ll be releasing these fairly slow over a close to 2 month period to line up with the next Friday the 13th, but it’ll also be slow because I’m reviewing the entire franchise while I’m doing it. I’ve mentioned previously these take about an hour to write plus watching the movie and maybe a little extra due to research. The reviews are much more invested, if it’s not obvious. Not only am I watching the movie, but I’m also looking at other reviews so I’m not repeating the same information and the same jokes (some things can’t be helped), plus doing a lot more in depth research. The original film’s review took me about 6-8 hours total work, with the sequel being a little bit easier and only taking about 4.
Also worth mentioning, there will be some reviews going along with the holiday season that aren’t a part of this franchise. I was originally planning on doing a Christmas themed franchise on its own but as ambitious as the Friday the 13th franchise is to cover I might have to put that on hold and just do a one of. I’ve also got other announcements of projects in the works, so I’m certainly keeping busy.
Anyway, lets move forward and start looking at the kills for Part 2 already!
The Kills
- Alice – Stabbed in the temple with an ice pick
- Crazy Ralph – He’s strangled to death with wire.
- The Cop as IMDb so graciously puts him, or Deputy Winslow as the novelization calls him – Hit in the back of the head with a hammer claw.
- Scott – Throat slit with a machete. These guys really thought we wouldn’t notice which side of a machete the blade is on, huh.
- Terry – Killed offscreen. We see her body later nestled up against momma Voorhees’ shrine, but there’s no discernable marks on her. Like how did you die?!?
- Mark – Slashed in the face with a machete and takes a cool tumble down the stairs. I said I would talk about some things about this kill in my review of this film too, you should check it out! Basically, this kill and the next is pretty blatantly taken from A Bay of Blood. The side by side image is in the review.
- Jeff and Sandra – Impaled in a Bava style 2fer. Same deal as Marks death, it’s gone into detail in the review.
- Vickie – Stabbed below the camera
It’s rumored that Paul is supposed to have been killed since she can’t find the dude at the end, but it’s left ambiguous so he’s not getting counted.
Conclusion
Jason Voorhees kills 9 people in Friday the 13th Part 2.

I’m not going to include tables of comparisons to Pamela or the original to the sequel like I have in other Kill Analyses because this is Jason’s first time out. You’ll see a full comparison to Pamela after I do the 2009 reboot which will also include the comparison to Roy Burns from Part 5.
