Finally, time to start moving forward into the timeline that is getting theatrical releases today, the H40 timeline. I still have these set up to release one a day, and we should be getting Halloween Ends analysis out by the 25th, so right before Halloween. I’m going to mark that release as being the official launch of the site, after that I’ll be looking to keep producing regular content. The easiest way to stay tuned is with the new Facebook page I launched, which I’ll be updating regularly. Don’t forget, with the H40 franchise, we’ll only be looking at the original 1978 Halloween and then straight into this movie and its 2 sequels, nothing in between. Back to what we were doing though…
The Kills
Before this, you see quite a bit of carnage and dead bodies. I don’t feel right counting those, however, because they could have died from the bus crash or from the other inmates. I’m only going to be counting the ones that we know for sure are from Michael. That said, the first kill we are going to confirm is the kid, beaten to death against the truck door. Way to start a new continuity, by killing a kid. We’ll just go with killed with his bare hands on this one.
I’m going to count the kids dad while not finding the next cop we see, simply because he’s not in the bus crash and his neck is so broken I don’t think your typical asylum inmate is going to do that much damage. Neck is beyond snapped here.
Gas station attendant – Looks like his jaw is completely ripped out, which is both gnarly and awesome. Killed with bare hands for sure.
Gas station mechanic – you see this guy getting beaten to death, then you see his body later, stripped of his uniform. More people beaten to death with his bare hands. We’re getting a knife in this movie, right?
Aaron Korey – Head decimated against pretty much anything a bathroom has to offer. You know, with his bare hands.
Dana Haines – Neck snapped.
Gina Panchella / Sandwich woman (that’s IMDb for ya) – She gets beaten to death with a hammer. The claw isn’t sticking out of her head, so I don’t want to add it as a hammer claw kill just to beat out Jason’s numbers just yet. We’ll just add this as a bludgeoning.
Andrea Wagner / Trick or Treat Lady – Gets a knife right through the neck, finally, we got a knife.
Vicky – Stabbed to death.
Dave – Stabbed to death, left with the same old knife holding up the person in a wall gag. Either these are the smallest people ever or he’s finding the longest knives in history to be able to hold these people up. To this movies credit and downfall, it’s pinned through his throat, which is actually small enough to where a chef’s knife could actually go through the neck with enough of the blade getting through the wall. The downfall, however, is Dave here must have the thickest neck ever to be able to support the rest of his body without tearing.
Oscar – Impaled on a fence. Awesome kill, and awesome fence might I add.
Dr. Sartain – Head stomped in. In glorious fashion.
Officer Richards – Stabbed to death
Officer Francis – Decapitated and then has his head turned into a Jack-o-lantern. Eventually I’ll get to this movie in a review / retroview capacity, hopefully I remember to note how crazy it is that Michael had time to cut the guys head off, hollowed it out, set it up in this fashion while still doing everything else he’s doing. Insanity.
Ray – He’s choked with a windchime then it sounds like he breaks his neck with it. Think I’m going with a neck snap.
