Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995) – Kills Analysis

For the sake of my own continuity, I’m going to base this off of the theatrical version, not the producers cut. I’m not sure if there’s a difference in the amount of kills as it’s been years since I’ve seen that version but I’d prefer to stick with the version that is easier to access so is more likely to be considered cannon within the timeline.

The Kills

• Mary – Impaled on a random spike on the wall (what’s that even there for?)
• Truck Driver – His neck is snapped so hard that he almost yanks his head off his neck. Does this count as a neck snap or killing him with his bare hands because that’s a little brutal.
• Jamie Lloyd – Impaled by what looked to be a bale spike until he turned it on, now I’m unsure. She’s dead though.
• Debra Strode – Slashed with an ax.
• John Strode – He’s stabbed, and then pushed into a panel. Counting as an electrocution, obviously.
• Barry Simms – Stabbed to death.
• Tim Strode – Throat slit.
• Beth – Stabbed to death.
• Lunatic (that’s how she’s named in IMDb) – Stabbed in the gut, left to be a harbinger I guess.
• 6 doctors? It’s hard to tell, the entire scene is strobed and I watched it twice and tried to identify faces in all of that. It looks like he stabbed all of them to death but one had their throat slit so I’ll count it as 5-1. I’m not epileptic thankfully, but after that I might have to get my eyes checked at the least.
• Injured Nurse – Killed because Tommy closed the gate on him, which gave Myers a nice orifice to push his face through. It was cool to watch and all, but why, Ant-Man, why? I guess they were right in Behind the Mask, if you’re going to get chased, make sure there’s someone slower than you behind you. Counting this as killed with bare hands.
• Dr. Loomis – Killed offscreen. It’s a shame that the best character in this timeline dies in such a fashion, but understandable with the health of Donald Pleasance. RIP. Going into the unknown category.

Since this was the end to a timeline, I found a decent stopping point for the time being. I’ll pick up the rest soon, but the opportunity presented itself for a different format, hope it’s a lot easier to look through.
