In the Kill Analysis, I’ve gone through every movie in the respective franchises and am now fully prepared to compare Michael Myers to the Jigsaw killer, John Kramer. Now to be clear, I picked the Halloween franchise first, simply because it lined up with Halloween and there was a new movie that just came out. I picked Saw so that I could push the limits to how many killers I could put into a franchise before it ruined the look of my templates. If you are looking through the kill analysis on mobile right now, my apologies. That being said, you don’t have to pay that much attention to the films to know who’s going to win this one, but it’s not going to be so cut and dry in the future.
The Comparison
So for the first Kill Comparison, we’ll look at the most recent franchise, Saw. You can click the previous link to look at any entries of the franchise, or you can click here for Spiral‘s analysis which has the final counts. In the franchise altogether, we counted a total of 84 kills by Jigsaw and his accomplices, however, only 41 people were killed by Jigsaw himself. He’s certainly the Manson of the horror universe and his numbers are a testament to that. The most common way he kills people in this franchise is via traps, of which he kills 36 of his 41 victims.
Michael Myers from the Halloween franchise kills a whopping 154 people. You can click the previous link to look at any entries of the franchise, or you can click here for Halloween End‘s analysis which has the final counts. Granted, he does this across 4 continuities, but that’s still a massive amount of people to watch him massacre. His most common method of murder was by stabbing, which is how he claims 52 lives, almost a 3rd of his victims. When doing these analyses, I wasn’t including other killers in those counts so I’m missing quite a few (specifically from Halloween Ends) but his personal body count is what is important for this particular instance.
The Graphical Stuff
One of the main reasons I wanted to make this website and do this series is so I could have a side by side comparison of our favorite spree killers in horror. So lets kick it off right.

The Winner: Michael Myers (obviously…)
Myers wins this one by a whopping 70 kills (honestly, I expected it to be much higher), therefor when I’m done analyzing the next franchise, he’ll be the bar in which the next killer should strive to beat. I’ve already released the teasers for the next installment, which will be none other than Jason Voorhees of Friday the 13th. I can guarantee that will make for a pretty epic comparison. I can’t wait!
